Guitarist Davy Graham playing Cry Me A River, as captured in a 1959 BBC documentary directed by Ken Russell on the rise in popularity of the guitar in Britain.
Unfinished highlight video. The original plan was to do a game by game review but I couldn't find enough game film for it. So I uploaded it for anyone interested in the clips.
Davy Graham rose from the British folk circuit in the early 60s to not only invent the folk guitar instrumental, but progress into world music. Never content, Graham traveled overseas as an innovative approach to his guitar playing, finding inspiration in Indian, Middle Eastern and Morrocon music, to name but a few. He influenced countless musicians and still does to this day. He was simply always ahead of the field and I've put together a few samples of his unique repetoire for your pleasure. (*Some of the albums shown are not necessarily the albums from which the songs feature on)
Seeing the very little Davey Graham footage on here, I've uploaded an excerpt from BBC4's Folk Britannia Episode 2. Includes footage of his TV performance of "She moves through the fair" and a brief interview with the man himself. New Video, same documentary: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RRI7IEp4aek
One more supreme pop song from Graham Parker and The Rumour`s 1979 release "Squeezing Out Sparks". If you love music, buy this album. It has been reissued on CD. More Artist Info..... http://www.grahamparker.net/
Probably the last known interview of Monty Python star Graham Chapman. He died in late 1989. It's amazing how optimistic this interview was, considering how close he was to the end.
Rare clip of The Graham Bond Organization from the film "Gonks Go Beat" (1965). Marvel out how Graham Bond manages to obtain a Hammond B3 sound from that humble Vox organ. Gasp at the wild harmonica wailin' antics of Jack Bruce and smile at the stuffed tiger by Dick Heckstall-Smith during the sax solo. Song penned by Marty Wilde.
Trevor Gordon and Graham Bonnet were cousins who first played in The Blue Sect. Trevor soon moved off the Australia where he recorded with The Bee Gees but would eventually be lead back to England. The Marbles were one of Robert Stigwood's first signings. Their only hit "Only One Woman" was penned by the Brothers Gibb

Best selling author Graham Hancock spoke about his latest book, Supernatural, which delves into the origins of humankind and the wisdom he gleaned from experiences with shamans in South America. Something altered human consciousness around 40,000 years ago, and Hancock suspects it could have been an interaction with supernatural or other-dimensional beings. The ancient depiction of such beings resembles the grey aliens of today, and he suggested they may be the same entities. During trips to the Amazon rainforest, under the tutelage of tribal shamans, Hancock said he drank a hallucinogenic brew called Ayahuasca on 11 different occasions. He reported being transported into a "very convincing reality" where he telepathically communicated with intelligent beings. He also experimented with the substance ibogaine, which seemingly allowed him to get into contact with the dead. Hancock also discussed how the Nobel Prize winning scientist Francis Crick admitted to being in an altered state when he discovered the double helix form (Crick used LSD back when it was legal in the 1950's). Interestingly, Crick suggested that DNA didn't evolve on our own planet because it was too complicated to have emerged by accident. Rather, it may have arrived here via a type of panspermia, sent out by a dying high-tech civilization in the form of frozen bacteria on spaceships, Hancock recounted. this interview is HIGHLY recommended! Researcher and author Graham Hancock presented his thesis that "supernatural" entities such as aliens and fairies are actually transdimensional beings that humans encounter during altered states of consciousness. The ability to shape-shift has been ascribed to both modern aliens as well as elves and other entities reported centuries ago, he detailed. Around 35,000 to 40,000 years ago humans underwent a sudden change, and the emergence of cave and rock paintings are evidence of this, said Hancock, who noted that some of their depictions were of part human/part animal beings. He believes these represent the supernatural entities, and through altered states (probably due to ingesting psilocybin mushrooms) humans learned advanced skills from their encounters with these beings. Nowadays, shamans commonly have such altered state communications. They feel humanity is at a crossroads-- the West has lost contact with the spirit world, and many of the world's woes are due to this, Hancock reported. As part of his experiential research, he traveled to South America and took the psychedelic plant mixture ayahuasca. During one such episode, he described a confrontation with an alien being, but rather than being an extraterrestrial, he suggested it inhabits another dimension that can only be accessed during an altered state.
