Terminator Salvation Official Trailer There's not a whole lot of reason to doubt that Terminator: Salvation is going to be anything more than a colossal cash grab in an era when cash is already tight enough as it is. But watching the trailer is at least some indication that you'll at least get something out of this particular robbery--two solid hours of robots of various sizes making large quantities of stuff go boom. Check it out. No one's claiming--with the possible exception of Christian Bale and the Director McG, neither of which are exactly high on the old credibility scale--that this is going to be some kind of cinematic masterpiece that must by law and statute receive a quantity of Oscar nods. All claims so far suggest that this will be a highly explosive punch in the neck and all available evidence suggests that, for once, it's total truth in advertising. Terminator® Salvation is an upcoming American science fiction war film set for release on May 22, 2009. Directed by Joseph McGinty Nichol (known as McG), it is the fourth Terminator film and stars Christian Bale as John Connor and Sam Worthington as the Terminator Marcus Wright. It also introduces a young version of the first film's hero, Kyle Reese, played by Anton Yelchin. The film, set in 2018, focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet.
